This past weekend I had the opportunity to travel to Vienna, Austria. I have always dreamed of visiting this famous city and was so excited to explore the streets. My roommate and I arrived in Vienna mid morning on Saturday and after settling into our hostel we hopped across the street to explore the famous Naschmarkt, which is a large outdoor market where dreams come true. Honestly, the market was so aesthetically pleasing, I was so content strolling through, taking in all the sights and smells. The fresh food and local feel was the perfect welcome into Vienna. If the market taught me anything, it was the importance of food in Vienna, unreal. We had dinner at Zweitbester, one of the best meals of the trip. If you’re ever in Vienna you must go there for dinner and order a Moscow Mule. You won’t regret it.
The next few days we explored the history of the city. I was most excited for the history in Vienna because I’ve read several books about the famous Empress Sissi. No trip to Vienna is complete without visiting the Imperial Palace. While you’re there I would suggest touring the Imperial Apartments, visiting the Sissi museum and heading over to the Spanish riding school.
Another highlight from Vienna was the famous Amusement park, Prater. Such a fun atmosphere and cool addition to the perfect trip. Vienna captured my heart. Also. Life changing coffee.
